In 1969, Zenith unveiled its amazing El Primero chronograph. That very year, British vehicle maker Land Rover presents the model of the very first extravagance rough terrain vehicle: the notable Range Rover, which hit the business sectors in 1970.
Zenith and Range Rover are the two pioneers in their respective enterprises, both planning timeless items focused to the extravagance market. The two brands have now begun an organization introduced by the El Primero Range Rover Special Edition.
In accolade for the principal extravagance SUV, its brushed dim dial bears the engraving “Zenith Range Rover”. The hands and hour-markers are rhodiumed and radiant.
The famous high-recurrence “motor” is housed in the aluminum “bodywork” – a gesture to the Range Rover body – of its 42 mm x 12.75 mm matt dark ceramised case. Water-impervious to 100 meters and bested by a cambered sapphire gem, it is furnished with a tightened crown and dark round pushers.
The sapphire caseback bearing the “El Primero Range Rover/Special Edition” engraving reveals a wavering weight customized with the Zenith and Range Rover logos.
At the core of this unique Range Rover version is the programmed El Primero 400B section wheel movement beating at a recurrence of 5 Hz (36,000 vph) which empowers a 10th of-a-second showcase.
This 326-section movement drives focal hours and minutes hands, alongside chronograph and tachymeter capacities, while guaranteeing an over 50-hour power reserve.
The Zenith El Primero Range Rover Special Edition is completed by an elastic tie covered with ivory-conditioned punctured calfskin (ref. 24.2040.400/27.R797) or blue punctured calfskin (ref. 24.2040.400/27.R796). The cost is Euro 7,900/US$ 7,700. zenith-watches.com
