SIHH 2016: Vacheron Constantin - Overseas Collection

SIHH 2016: Vacheron Constantin – Overseas Collection

A direct relative of the iconic 222 model that Vacheron Constantin dispatched in 1977 to praise the 222nd anniversary of the brand, the Overseas watch was introduced in 1996 as a tasteful game watch designed for an active lifestyle. The underlying model of the Overseas – with its distinctive bezel – was created around the topic of movement with the sophisticated styling to reflect mechanical greatness.

After three years a chronograph version with a self-winding caliber showed up and, in 2004, an anti magnetic screen was fitted to give the development all-round protection.

Throughout the long term, Vacheron Constantin has built up the identify codes of this line throughout the long term, for example, the metal wristband introduced in 2004 and featuring a motif evoking the Maltese cross brand insignia.

The Overseas on list before the 2016 edition

In 2016, on occasion of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie which has opened today in Geneva, Vacheron Constantin is presenting the first five models (for an aggregate of 12 references) of the new Hallmark of Geneva-certified Overseas collection.

The Hallmark of Geneva ensures high production principles as far as provenance, resilience, exactness and expertise while ensuring regard for traditional hand workmanship. Vacheron Constantin is its most steadfast representative since 1901.

The curves of the instance of the new Overseas are consistently integrated with the arm band or tie which, thanks an interchangeability device, can be easily changed. Wristbands – in stainless steel or precious metal – are equipped with a simple fit framework for improved comfort.

All the models are controlled via automatic developments shielded from magnetic fields by a delicate iron ring and visible through the straightforward caseback.

In the following days we will introduce each new Vacheron Constantin Overseas model in detail. In the meanwhile we provide here an overview of the collection.
