Characterized by a solid and masculine design, the new Eterna Royal KonTiki Chronograph is built around the in-house created and produced Eterna Caliber 3916A, a further advancement of the Eterna basic development 39.
Beating at 28,800 vibrations each hour and offering a force hold of 65 hours, Caliber 3916 integrates a self-winding mechanism, a chronograph with flyback function and a date display.
The hearty, 42.55 mm stainless steel case, optionally additionally available with dark PVD coating, includes a distinctive bezel with circular components and five dark PVD-covered fastens orchestrated the state of the celebrated Eterna logo.
The chronograph catches are additionally covered with dark elastic for convenience, while the crown defender is made of darkened steel. Water resistance is 100 meters/330 feet.
The bezel outlines an anthracite dial embellished with a sunburst motif featuring the 30-minute and 12-hour counter at 3 o’clock, the little seconds display at 9 o’clock and the date window at 6 o’clock, all encased within a raised ring. To improve the legibility, the recessed focuses of the two subdials are silver-shaded and the three chronograph hands are red-tipped.
On account of the white SuperLuminova coating applied to hour indices and hour and minute hands, the Royal KonTiki Chronograph is not difficult to peruse even in helpless light conditions.
