Audemars Piguet declared the publication of a comprehensive book on the history of the complicated wristwatches made by the production in the 20th Century.

Curated by the brand’s Heritage Department which went through four years of archival exploration and writing, this 308-page book describes 550 complicated wristwatches, of which 35 minute repeaters, 188 schedule wristwatches, 307 chronograph wristwatches and 20 twofold complication wristwatches featuring both schedule and chronograph.

From the world’s first minute repeating wristwatch created in 1892 until the revival of complications in the last part of the 1970s, the history of Audemars Piguet’s complicated wristwatches is imparted to detailed photography, social setting, historic records, archival images, technical specifications and production information.

The book additionally portrays the tale of the revival of complications that happened during the height of the quartz crisis in the last part of the 1970s.
